DVE Business Solutions Pty Ltd ABN 80 131 082 392 (referred to as DVE, we, us or our) respect your right to privacy and are committed to safeguarding the privacy of individuals, including our suppliers, customers and website visitors, and to the protection of personal information that relates to them in accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as set out in the Privacy Act 1988(Cth).
Where relevant laws apply to the way we handle the Personal Information we will comply with our obligations.
The DVE Privacy Policy describes the way we collect, use, and disclose personal information (as defined below) that is covered by the applicable Privacy Law. It is not intended to cover categories of information that are not covered by the applicable Privacy Law.
Key Principles
DVE Business Solutions Pty Ltd takes its obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 seriously, and as such, will take all reasonable steps in order to comply with the Act and protect the privacy of personal information that it holds.
DVE will not collect Personal Information unless the information is reasonably necessary, or directly related to, one or more of DVE’s functions or activities.
DVE will not collect Sensitive Information unless having received the individual’s consent; required or authorised by Australian Law; or an exemption exists under the Privacy Act.
DVE will collect Personal Information by lawful and fair means and, where possible, directly from the individual. Personal Information collected by DVE may be held in hardcopy format, or electronic format stored on computing equipment or on third party servers. If DVE receives unsolicited Personal Information and has no lawful basis on which to retain the information, DVE will destroy that information or ensure that it is deidentified.
What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.
This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, workshops, correspondence, by completing a form or a survey, by telephone, by email, requesting information about us or our products or services, providing feedback, changing your content or email preferences, entering into an agreement or contract with us, attending an event, applying to be or become an employee or contractor of DVE, via our website www.dvesolutions.com.au, from your website, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from social media, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you and for marketing purposes. We use your Personal Information for common business and administrative practice. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
Where required by the applicable Privacy Law, we will seek your consent to the processing of your Personal Information for specific purposes or your explicit consent when processing Sensitive Information (if applicable).
When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.
Sensitive information will be used by us only:
- For the primary purpose for which it was obtained
- For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose
- With your consent; or where required or authorised by law
Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party. We have implemented a range of Google analytics advertising features including demographics and interest reporting, remarketing, GDN impression reports and campaign manager integration. You can opt-out of the Google Analytics features through Ads Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps or any other available means.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Depending on the applicable Privacy Law and the nature of your relationship with us, we may disclose your Personal Information to our employees, consultants, contractors, government agencies, other third parties, (including parties and partners that we engage to provide you with services on our behalf or who are connected with or involved in our relationship with you), or otherwise as required by law.
We may also disclose your Personal Information to our service providers in certain limited circumstances, for example when our website experiences a technical problem or to ensure that it operates in an effective and secure manner.
Personal information is only disclosed to a third party when it is required for the delivery of our services. To the extent that we do share your Personal Information with a service provider, we would only do so if that party has agreed to a confidentiality regime in relation to their services and access to your Personal Information.

These measures are designed to safeguard and fortify Personal Information, shielding it from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure.
We aim to keep your Personal Information secure and up to date. We will comply with our obligations under applicable Privacy Law in relation to any Personal Information that we handle, including information which is held on our computer systems.
We will keep your Personal Information only for as long as required for our business purposes and otherwise as required by Australian law. Where we no longer need to keep your Personal Information, we will take steps required by the applicable Privacy Law to destroy or de-identify your Personal Information.
If you wish to have your Personal Information destroyed or de-identified, please let us know and we will take steps required by the applicable Privacy Law to do so (unless we need to keep it for legal, auditing, or internal risk management reasons, or as otherwise required or permitted by law).
The Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) Scheme in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) sets out obligations for notifying affected individuals, and the Australian Information Commissioner, about an “eligible data breach” which is likely to result in serious harm.
To the extent required by law, where a data or privacy breach occurs and serious harm to affected individuals has occurred or is likely, we will notify those individuals and the relevant supervisory authority in accordance with our obligations under applicable Privacy Law.
Access to your Personal Information
You are entitled to request access to the Personal Information that we hold about you. If you request access to your Personal Information, we will grant your request to the extent required or permitted by applicable Privacy Law. If we refuse your request to access your Personal Information, to the extent required under applicable Privacy Law, we will provide you with written reasons for the refusal.
DVE Solutions will not charge any fee for your access request.
In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information
It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Information that we hold is accurate, current, and complete. You can request a correction of, or update to, your Personal Information at any time by contacting us directly. We welcome any changes to your Personal Information to keep our records up to date.
