TEQSA Conference 2023 Highlights

It was so good to see our governance and compliance colleagues and catch up with our clients at this year’s TEQSA conference. Excellent to hear from Professor Mary O’Kane AC who provided insightful reflections on what has changed, what has not changed and what remains ‘unsure’ in the sector.

Current issues for regulation in Higher Education stirred many questions from the audience. It was great to hear from Dr Mary Russell (acting CEO TEQSA) who provided an overview of TEQSA changes to initial and re-registration.

One highlight for our team was hearing from students this year, especially Rural Youth Ambassador and Medical Student, Tayla Roberts who left us all with a powerful message that our rural students “cannot be what they cannot see”.

The “mind maps” from the session wrap up 2023 and we look forward to seeing everyone again in 2024.
