Academic Risk Indicator Checklist
Key academic risks relate primarily to Domains 3, 4 and 5 of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 (HESF). While academic risks may be linked to most HESF Standards, risk registers should nonetheless encompass controls for the following Standards:
1.1.1, 1.1.3, 1.2.2, 1.3.1, 1.3.2a, 1.3.3, 1.3.4, 1.3.5, 1.4, 1.5.1, 1.5.3, 2.1.1, 2.1.3, 2.2.1, 2.2.3, 2.3.1, 2.3.3, 3.3.1, 3.3.4, 6.1.3d, 6.1.4, 6.2.1g.
The table in this checklist outlines key academic risks that require ongoing monitoring and review to ensure existing controls are effective and fit for purpose. DVE recommends that Academic Boards maintain clear oversight over these matters.
